Whether you capture the stunning foliage, peaceful trails, wildlife or a favorite fall moment, we would love to see Dawes through your lens.
This contest leads up to our annual Fall in Love with Dawes event on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. which includes FREE admission all day thanks to our presenting sponsor Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority. The perfect time to capture fall at Dawes!

Oct. 1 – Oct. 30, 2026
How to Enter:
- Visit Dawes anytime between Oct. 1 – Oct. 30, 2026
- Use any kind of camera you want – professional, smartphone, film or anything you desire to take photos with during your visit.
- Email your submission(s) with your first and last name, contact information and photographs to marketing@dawesarb.org with the subject line: Fall Photo Contest 2026.
- By submitting your photo(s), you grant The Dawes Arboretum permission to use it for promotional and marketing purposes.
- There is no limit to the number of photos you may submit.
- Judging will be based on the theme, relevance, composition and creativity.
Winner:
The winning photo will be featured on Instagram, Facebook and used as our cover photo for the month of November, tagging the winner (if available).
Select photos from the contest may be featured in The Arboretum’s publications, on our website and across social media platforms.
