We can’t wait to see you on November 28 for the seventh annual Turkey Trail Challenge! Started in 2018, the Turkey Trail Challenge offers a post-Thanksgiving adventure that encourages exploration around The Dawes Arboretum after a day full of turkey, family and fun. This event is included within admission.
Before The Challenge:
- Pre-purchase admission tickets online or purchase tickets at the gate. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Children under 5 are always free. There are also discounted ways to get into The Arboretum, like memberships and library passes. Learn more about why we charge admission here.
- Bring your own pedometer. Apps that track your steps on your cell phone are acceptable. When you get to The Arboretum, register for the Turkey Trail Challenge at our Visitors Center.
During the Challenge:
- Watch the time. All steps must be completed by 2 pm to earn a prize.
- Pace yourself, drink water and rest as needed.
- Take any trail you’d like and explore all of the beautiful areas around The Arboretum!
- Try to reach over 10,000 steps.
After the Challenge:
- Everyone who participates in the challenge will get a small prize, but anyone who walks over 10,000 steps will receive a special prize while supplies last.
- Be sure to post your photos of the challenge on Facebook, and tag us! We’re excited to see you this year as you explore The Arboretum.
